Xiaomi has announced the launch of its first SUV, the Xiaomi YU7: a high-performance luxury SUV with a starting price of 253,500 yuan. The new model aims to take luxury to a new level by combining advanced technology, driving experience and safety.
The Xiaomi YU7 is available in three versions – Standard, Pro and Max:
• Xiaomi YU7 Standard — ultra-long range, rear-wheel drive starting at 253,500 yuan
• Xiaomi YU7 Pro — ultra-long range, all-wheel drive starting at 279,900 yuan
• Xiaomi YU7 Max — ultra-long range, outstanding performance, all-wheel drive starting at 329,900 yuan

Xiaomi electric cars have always been committed to timeless design – and the Xiaomi YU7 perfectly embodies this. Every detail of its exterior and interior design is crafted to deliver a sophisticated luxury experience for a modern SUV that defies the everyday.
Slim proportions, boundless style
On the exterior, a 3:1 wheelbase-to-body ratio, a 2.1:1 wheel-to-height ratio, and a 1.25:1 width-to-height ratio provide an attractive visual foundation. These carefully balanced proportions give the Xiaomi YU7 a classic, low-slung appearance typical of high-performance SUVs. The 1:3 ultra-slim cabin-to-body ratio extends the front section to create a long, powerful hood, which has been a hallmark of automotive luxury for over a century, and provides a generous impact zone for enhanced safety. The front impact absorption zone is 659 mm, which means a higher level of safety. With its wide body and muscular rear profile, the Xiaomi YU7 exudes a decidedly sporty character. Compared to conventional SUVs, these elements give the Xiaomi YU7 proportions, stance and contours that are far beyond its class, creating a memorable first-hand impression.
Since the launch of the Xiaomi SU7, the Xiaomi EV’s color palette has received widespread acclaim. Building on this success, the Xiaomi YU7 now offers the most diverse range in its class, with nine shades that each have their own character and appeal. Four colors are already known — Basalt Gray, Lava Orange, Titanium Gray and Emerald Green — and now five new options are expanding the range: Pearl White, Ocean Blue, Twilight Purple, Shadow Blue and Dawn Pink. Together, these create a palette that ranges from sporty to stylish and luxurious. Pearl White offers a subtle, bluish pearlescent glow that gives a clean, sophisticated quality when exposed to direct sunlight. The other colors contain aluminum and pearl powder, creating a subtle metallic sheen as light passes through their surfaces. Varying the size and arrangement of the metallic particles creates a rich visual effect.
A wider range of rims and tires is available for the Xiaomi YU7: three sizes, two finishes, and six designs are available. For those who prioritize long-term performance, the standard 19-inch diamond-cut rims with high-durability tires offer great value, allowing the Max version to achieve a CLTC range of 760 km. For drivers who prefer a quieter ride, sound-absorbing tires on 20-inch rims may be a good choice. Two versions are available: Halo wheels painted in the same color as the body — which give the Max version a CLTC range of up to 760 km — or sportier Vortex wheels, which give the Max version a range of up to 750 km.
For drivers with more advanced handling needs, narrower front and wider rear tires on 21-inch rims with three designs are available. Among the rims, the Phantom is equipped with Xiaomi-exclusive Michelin Primacy 5 Energy tires, which have an optimized carcass structure and tread compound to reduce rolling resistance and improve grip, allowing the Max version to achieve a CLTC range of up to 750 km. For those looking for a sportier and more premium driving experience, the 21-inch Floral (forged) and 21-inch Petal (forged) wheels paired with Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires are a good choice. They feature built-in soundproofing and provide up to 670 km of CLTC range for the Max version. Both options come with a floating hub cap that holds the Xiaomi logo in a non-rotating position. Behind the wheels, red or yellow Brembo® four-piston fixed brake calipers complete the look as a bold, performance-oriented addition.
Design meets functionality in a luxurious cabin
Beyond its visual appeal, the cabin offers true luxury. All high-mounted contact surfaces are soft-touch, with a total of 17 m² of material certified to OEKO-TEX® Class 1 international standards, meaning it is safe enough to come into direct contact with babies’ skin. Meanwhile, the seats are made of Nappa leather, which is soft but provides good lateral support and is comfortable even on long journeys.
In terms of seats, the Xiaomi YU7 offers optional dual zero-gravity front seats that recline at the touch of a button and feature a 10-point massage function, allowing the driver to relax without having to adjust the seat settings. The driver’s ergonomically designed zero-gravity seat features a 12-layer comfort system that hugs the body for optimal support while perfectly aligning with the natural curves of the spine. The luxurious rear seats are heated and adjustable from a 100° upright position to a 135° reclining position. The redesigned rear headrests are thicker and wider, providing better lateral support for a more comfortable ride.
Although the Xiaomi YU7 has a low, sporty profile, it still offers a spacious, comfortable interior. Using a 188cm anthropometric model, the cabin offers ample space with 100mm of front and 77mm of rear headroom, and 73mm of rear legroom. The rear seats can be converted into a 1.8m bed at the touch of a button. In terms of storage, the Xiaomi YU7 offers 36 compartments in the cabin. The front luggage compartment has a capacity of 141 litres, which can comfortably accommodate a 24-inch suitcase. The rear luggage compartment can be up to 687 litres and can easily accommodate three 24-inch suitcases, three 20-inch suitcases and two large travel bags, making it easy for a family of four to pack for a trip. By folding down the rear seats, the luggage compartment capacity can be expanded to 1,758 litres, providing plenty of space for a full camping kit. The spacious 13.7-liter secret glove box features a voice and password-activated lock for more secure storage of valuables and a dedicated organizer to keep smaller items within easy reach. The rear drawer provides an extra 5.2 liters of space — perfect for tissues, blankets, toys, and other everyday essentials.
Luxury also means paying attention to every detail. Under the center console panel, there are dual 80W wireless charging pads with a hidden vent design so phones can be charged quickly without overheating. The sun visor mirrors on both the driver and front passenger sides offer three levels of brightness and color temperature control. The interior rearview mirror has an anti-glare function, and the exterior mirrors on the car are equipped with a blind spot monitoring system as standard, enhancing safety while driving. For Max versions, the exterior mirrors also feature an anti-reflective coating, further reducing glare from headlights at night. A 4.6-liter onboard smart cooler can hold six drinks and can cool or heat drinks as needed. The 25-speaker premium sound system supports Dolby Atmos surround sound and integrates Xiaomi’s newly developed sound algorithm to provide an exceptional audio experience for all passengers. The cabin air conditioning has a gentle, health-oriented design that does not direct airflow at the passenger. It also has a 357 mm diffuser at the front and three diffusers at the rear, providing a soft, enveloping airflow. The system uses a 2.2 m² ultra-large SGS Gold-certified HEPA filter to effectively filter harmful particles for healthier air, while the fast deep cleaning mode refreshes the cabin air in just 35 seconds.
New Improvements in Soundproofing and Sun Protection
The Xiaomi YU7 comes standard with double laminated glass on all trim levels – on the front windshield, all four doors, and the rear quarter windows. The entire vehicle features over 200 noise reduction improvements and over 120 sound-absorbing materials to block noise from all directions. Its industry-leading airtightness significantly reduces exterior noise, surpassing even much more expensive luxury cars. The Max version goes one step further with an ultra-quiet cabin – all trim levels come standard with double laminated glass on all four doors, reducing wind and other high-frequency noise by 2-3 dB, paired with an acoustically treated panoramic sunroof and over 30 advanced insulation zones for a quiet interior.
Xiaomi electric cars have long been a favorite among female drivers for their exceptional sun protection, and the Xiaomi YU7 continues this tradition with SFP100 and PA++++ level UV protection. The front windshield has a three-layer silver coating, while all four windows are equipped with double laminated sun protection glass as standard, and the panoramic roof has a double silver coating to provide excellent heat and UV protection. The Max version takes it to a new level with a smart, dimmable EC panoramic sunroof that gradually shades the cabin at the touch of a button, providing even better thermal insulation and sun blocking performance than traditional sunshades on other vehicles.
Advanced driving experience and control: peak performance, extended range and premium comfort

As a high-performance luxury SUV, the Xiaomi YU7 takes performance to the next level with its self-developed "three core electric technologies" (electric motor, battery, engine control unit). The entire model range is equipped with the new Xiaomi HyperEngine V6s Plus powertrain, which can reach a maximum speed of 22,000 rpm, a peak torque of 528 Nm, and a peak power of 288 kW. The Xiaomi YU7 Max offers a maximum power of up to 690 horsepower, a top speed of 253 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.23 seconds, making it the fastest SUV under 800,000 yuan with 0-100 km/h acceleration.
835 km! The Longest-Range All-Electric Large SUV
Range is the true measure of an electric SUV’s capabilities — and one of the most important cost factors for any electric vehicle. The Xiaomi YU7 Standard, Pro, and Max versions all offer impressive extended range. The base model, the Standard version, boasts a CLTC range of 835 km — the best among mid-size to large electric SUVs. The AWD versions also reach a CLTC range of up to 770 km, making them the best in their class among all-wheel drive EVs, allowing you to complete up to two full weeks of city commuting or a 1,000 km long-distance trip on a single charge.
The Xiaomi YU7’s impressive long-term performance is enabled by its newly developed electric drive platform. All versions are powered by an 800V silicon carbide motor that supports ultra-fast charging at up to 5.2C, allowing for 10-80% charge in 12 minutes and a range of up to 620 km in 15 minutes.
Third-party fast charging compatibility is also key for the Xiaomi YU7. The system is designed to charge anywhere and has been successfully tested at over 99% of the 1.4 million public charging stations in mainland China. Xiaomi will expand the coverage of service stations to more cities and counties as we move forward.
Premium chassis configuration that offers a luxurious experience
The Xiaomi YU7 features a front independent double wishbone suspension and a rear five-link independent suspension, double-chamber closed air suspension and high-performance continuously adjustable shock absorbers, Brembo® four-piston fixed calipers, Xiaomi Smart Chassis stability control and other improvements. Unlike the sportier Xiaomi SU7, the Xiaomi YU7 strikes a fine balance between dynamic handling and luxurious comfort. All versions come standard with Xiaomi Smart Chassis stability control, which includes road overview and adaptive suspension. When detecting a banked road, the system automatically adjusts the hardness of the front and rear suspension for a softer ride. When driving into underground parking garages, it can use the air springs to adjust the height to reduce the risk of body damage. The double-chamber closed air springs have a 40% height adjustment range, and continuously adjustable shock absorbers allow for a smooth transition between a sportier and more comfortable feel. On winding roads, the Xiaomi YU7’s continuous shock absorber control smooths out road irregularities and reduces body roll during corners, providing a confident, stable driving experience. All versions feature Variable Steering Ratio (VGR), which ensures precise cornering at low speeds while maintaining stable steering at high speeds. With a tight turning circle of 5.7 meters, the Xiaomi YU7 can easily make a single-turn on a three-lane road. The best 100-0 km/h braking distance is 33.9 meters — comparable to that of a sports car — while its 222 mm ground clearance maintains SUV-level capabilities.
Finally, for those prone to seasickness, Xiaomi has collaborated with Huashan Hospital and Beijing Tongren Hospital to jointly develop a Motion Sickness Relief Mode. After studying heart rate, eye movement and other reactions, the Xiaomi YU7’s suspension has been finely tuned to soften pitching, rolling and shaking. Acceleration is as stable as a high-speed train, regenerative braking has been tuned to minimize shaking, and body roll can be further reduced with the adaptive suspension. In tests, this has reduced the incidence of motion sickness by 51% and delayed its onset by 16%.

Flagship-level computing performance
The Electrical/Electronic Architecture (EEA) is the heart of any smart vehicle. Xiaomi YU7 adopts a Four-in-One Domain Control Module — the central brain of the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) — which integrates the Driver Assistance System (ADD), Digital Cabin Controller (DCD), Vehicle Central Controller (VCCD), and Telematics Unit (T-Box). It combines dozens of functional modules to form a highly integrated central processing unit, which not only reduces size and weight, but also optimizes energy efficiency. In addition, the EEA architecture of Xiaomi YU7 offers two key strengths.
First, outstanding computing performance. Assisted driving is supported by the next-generation 4nm NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor™ in-vehicle computing platform, which delivers 700 TOPS of processing power, surpassing the two combined Orin X chips.
Second, stability and reliability. The new generation Xiaomi EEA has undergone comprehensive and rigorous reliability testing, which exceeds the industry standard for endurance testing by two times. The main motherboards have successfully passed the AEC-Q104 automotive standard tests, which proves that their lifespan exceeds 10 years.
Xiaomi HyperVision Panoramic Display with Xiaomi Hyper XiaoAI AI Assistant on Board
In the cabin, the Xiaomi YU7 adopts the all-new Xiaomi HyperVision Panoramic Display, which uses a sophisticated network of three Mini LED screens and uses "Panoramic Curved Projection Technology" to seamlessly project comprehensive information onto the lower windshield area — a visual setup that is 2-3 times more expensive than a traditional HUD. The result is intuitive, with drivers seeing speed and navigation information in the form of optimally positioned projections right within their natural field of vision. When cornering, blind spots are displayed on the exterior mirrors.
And the interactive features don’t end there. The Xiaomi YU7’s HyperOS-powered Smart Cabin offers a variety of engaging interactions. A microphone-less karaoke function is available in parking mode. The experience is further enhanced by animated pet companions — a capybara and an otter — who serve as co-pilots. These virtual pets perk up their ears when responding to voice commands to the XiaoAi AI Voice Assistant, respond naturally to G-forces during cornering, and even play games on screens when the passenger asks XiaoAi to, allowing for fun interactions for children on board.
Xiaomi YU7 features an upgraded Xiaomi Hyper XiaoAi AI voice controller, which now works with a large AI model, supporting multi-modal interaction and full voice interaction outside the vehicle. It has four modules and an 8-microphone array, so the 4-voice modules allow for seamless communication with the vehicle even when standing outside. The five-zone voice control means that each seat has its own Hyper XiaoAi AI Voice Assistant, so commands do not interfere with each other.
"Human X Car X Home" ecosystem with new features
The "Human X Car X Home" ecosystem has now received a number of improvements. The ports on both sides of the dashboard can provide up to 27W of power for accessories such as sports cameras or phones. The cabin features nine magnetic points for attaching various accessories such as tissue boxes, glasses holders, and magnetic physical buttons, as well as a newly added magnetic wireless phone holder. In addition, the rearview mirror bracket provides expansion options for a 4K gimbal camera and an AI spatial interaction sensor. The 4K gimbal camera enables live video recording and voice calls, allowing users to check on their pets even when away from the vehicle. The AI spatial interaction sensor supports six hand gestures, allowing for convenient touch-free commands such as switching songs or taking photos. The useful accessories don’t end there. The back of the front seats can accommodate the new Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro. The rear roof area has an expandable design, the roof rail system supports 100W power, and offers two Type-C ports for versatile charging options. The roof rail can be equipped with sliding lights to illuminate the rear seats and also supports connection to an outdoor projector for camping. In addition, the roof rack can be extended to carry bicycles or snowboards, making it ideal for outdoor adventures.
Apple users can also enjoy a premium experience in Xiaomi cars
First of all, the experience for iPhone users has been significantly improved with support for various remote control options. These include support for UWB remote unlocking, as well as remote control options available via widgets in the Xiaomi EV app, which can be accessed from the home screen and via shortcuts in the Control Center. In addition, the iPhone’s Action Button can be set as a dedicated lock or unlock button. Live vehicle status updates are provided by the "Alive Status" feature in the Xiaomi EV app, and routes can be sent directly from the phone to the vehicle system.
Secondly, the Apple ecosystem experience has been improved in every detail. Apple CarPlay can now be pinned as a desktop widget and supports simultaneous use of CarPlay and car apps on the same screen. The car system supports Apple Music for high-quality online streaming, and Apple Watch can be used to control the car. The tablet holder included in the rear seat also allows for extended use of the iPad.

The entire Xiaomi YU7 model line comes standard with an advanced driving support system, including the new generation NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor™ chip with 700 TOPS computing power, LiDAR, 4D millimeter wave radar, 11 high-resolution cameras and 12 ultrasonic radars. Seven of them are equipped with ultra-clear anti-reflection cameras that use ALD coating technology, effectively reducing light reflection and backlight interference.
On the software side, all Xiaomi YU7 models come standard with Xiaomi’s full-fledged driving support system, which is powered by 10 million training clips. This system has been trained with data from professional drivers. Using multi-modal large models, it enables smoother acceleration and braking control and a more comfortable driving experience. It offers more accurate obstacle recognition, providing more humane timing and responses when avoiding obstacles, providing a deeper understanding of road conditions, and providing more efficient and smoother navigation to ensure faster passage through intersections. The entire Xiaomi YU7 model line will be launched with 10 million educational clips. Xiaomi is also committed to long-term investment in the development of driving assistance technology, in which it will also cooperate with Tsinghua University and the University of Hong Kong on future R&D projects.

Ultra-high-level safety features
As Xiaomi’s second model, Xiaomi YU7 continues to uphold the "Safety Above All" philosophy. Xiaomi YU7 adopts 2200 MPa Xiaomi Ultra-high-strength steel — the highest-strength hot-formed steel currently in mass production in the automotive industry. It is used in key areas such as the crash-resistant beam of all four doors and the six hot-formed tubes in the A and B pillars, which form an "embedded roll cage" structure with the vehicle body. This greatly improves safety in extreme conditions such as side impacts and rollovers. Based on this advanced material, Xiaomi YU7 features a completely updated Armor-Cage Steel-Aluminum Hybrid Body, which is made of 90.2% high-strength steel and aluminum alloy. The torsional rigidity is 47,610 Nm/angle, making it the leading SUV segment. In terms of passive safety, the Xiaomi YU7 has been developed to exceptionally high standards — passing more than 50 internal tests covering all crash standards based on the C-NCAP and C-IASI protocols. In addition, the Xiaomi YU7 has been developed to protect female passengers in all seating positions, also exceeding the C-NCAP and C-IASI test specifications.
In terms of vehicle battery protection, both the lithium iron phosphate and ternary lithium batteries of the Xiaomi YU7 meet ultra-high safety standards that already exceed China’s 2025 new national battery safety requirements. In addition, the Xiaomi YU7 uses the same "bulletproof coating" on the bottom of the battery pack as the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. The 1500 MPa scratch-resistant cross beam is also found at the bottom of the chassis, providing reinforced protection for the battery cells even in rough and challenging road conditions.
6.49 million kilometers of real road testing, exceeding the highest safety standards
The outstanding quality comes not only from vehicle design standards, but also from rigorous safety and durability testing. During the development of the Xiaomi YU7, 653 test vehicles traveled a total of 10.62 million kilometers. Of this, road testing alone covered 6.49 million kilometers over 539 days in 296 cities — in the scorching heat of 53°C in Turpan, the freezing cold of -41°C in Heihe, and even at an altitude of 5,380 meters in the Ali region of Tibet. This extensive testing has proven that the Xiaomi YU7 can handle China’s diverse climate and harsh terrain. A number of third-party tests have been conducted for safety, efficiency, intelligence, and overall performance, all certified by professional organizations.
3,944 km! Xiaomi YU7 Breaks 24-Hour Endurance Challenge Record

The Xiaomi YU7 recently underwent a grueling 24-hour endurance test to test its performance, range, charging capabilities, durability, and reliability to the max. The legendary Le Mans 24 Hours race—one of the toughest motorsport events, with an average of 70 percent of starters finishing the race—inspired this challenge, which is particularly tough for electric vehicles that require long range, fast charging, high performance, and excellent thermal management at the same time. Under the official supervision of the China Center for Automotive Technology and Research, the Xiaomi YU7 Max test car set a new record, covering 3,944 km in 24 hours.
